Everyday driving
The batteries that fail in Armadale, and why
Armadale is settled suburb driving — the school run, the shops, the trip to work and back. It sounds gentle on a battery and it is the opposite: a run of a few kilometres never puts back what starting the engine takes out, so the charge level creeps down over months until one cool morning the car won't turn over.
With 7 schools inside the suburb boundary and Armadale Shopping City and Armadale Central to get to, that short-trip pattern is most of the driving here, which is why the batteries we replace in Armadale are usually three to four years old rather than five or six.
The other half is the commuter car that sits at Sherwood station all day in the heat and gets asked to crank at five o'clock. We'll come to the car park, test the battery and the alternator free, and fit on the spot if it's actually the battery.

Battery replacement in Armadale
Armadale is where the metro starts thinning out and the South Western Highway heads for the country. It's a town centre in its own right — Armadale Shopping City, two stations, a hospital — and it's only 12.5km from our counter, so it's one of the quicker runs we do.
The vehicle mix leans towards utes, tow rigs and older cars doing real distances rather than city hops, so cranking amps matter more here than they do closer in. We keep high-CCA stock for diesels that sit for days between starts, and with seven schools inside the suburb there's plenty of ordinary short-trip work too. Free battery and alternator test either way.

Armadale FAQ
Common Armadale questions
Do you deliver batteries to Armadale?
Yes. Armadale is 12.5km from our Maddington warehouse — about 15 minutes via Albany Highway and Streich Avenue. There's a small delivery fee outside our three 5km free zones (Canning Vale, Maddington and Fremantle), or you can collect from the counter and pay the straight warehouse price. Call 08 9451 4048 for the exact figure.
Do you supply forklift and truck batteries to businesses in Armadale?
We do — it's a big part of what the warehouse does. Brikmakers is on our regular run, and we carry forklift traction packs, heavy-haulage truck batteries, and deep-cycle for plant and standby. Trade accounts get account pricing and same-day delivery on stocked lines. Call 08 9451 4048 and ask for the trade desk.
My car won't start at Sherwood station — can you come out?
That's a call we get a lot. Station car parks are where a tired battery finally gives up, because the car sits all day in the heat and then gets asked to crank at 5pm. We'll come to the car park, test the battery and alternator free, and if it's the battery we fit a new one on the spot — usually 15 to 20 minutes. Open 24/7 — every day of the year on 08 9451 4048.
Why does my battery keep going flat in Armadale?
Usually short trips. Armadale has 7 schools inside the suburb, and a school run plus a few kilometres to the shops never puts back what starting the car takes out — so the battery slowly discharges until one cold morning it won't crank. We'll test it and the alternator free. If it's just undercharged we'll tell you that rather than sell you a battery.
How much is a car battery in Armadale?
It depends on the spec — a small sedan and a European AGM are a long way apart. Because we buy factory-direct there's no retail markup in the middle. Call 08 9451 4048 with your rego and you'll get a fixed number, not a range.
How do I get to your warehouse from Armadale?
Unit 11/95-97 Kelvin Road, Maddington, WA 6109 — about 15 minutes from Armadale, via Albany Highway and Streich Avenue, about 12.5km. Free customer parking on site. Walk in any time we're open, get the battery and the alternator tested free, and have it fitted while you wait.
Are you open after hours if I'm stuck in Armadale?
Open 24/7 — every day of the year — call 08 9451 4048 day or night. If you're stranded in Armadale we'll give you a straight ETA rather than a "sometime today", and we'll come to the car.
