Salt air country
Why batteries die faster in White Gum Valley
Salt air is the reason. Airborne salt settles on terminals and works into case seals, and the corrosion it starts raises resistance at exactly the point where the battery has to deliver a few hundred amps. The same battery that runs five years inland can be down on cranking amps in three within a few streets of the water.
Anything parked outside near the coast here shows it, and boats show it first.
The fix is not a bigger battery, it's a sealed one. We steer White Gum Valley customers to AGM for vehicles that live outdoors, dual-purpose or proper deep-cycle for boats, and we clean and grease terminals as part of the fit rather than charging for it separately.

Battery replacement in White Gum Valley
White Gum Valley is the residential pocket behind South Street, close enough to Fremantle to get the salt air and far enough off the highways to be genuinely quiet. It's small, established, and mostly older homes on narrow streets.
Salt reaches the terminals here the same way it does closer to the water, so we clean and grease them as part of the fit and favour sealed AGM for anything parked outside. The suburb is inside our Fremantle free-delivery hub, so it's dropped and fitted at no delivery cost — usually in the driveway, in about twenty minutes.

White Gum Valley FAQ
Common White Gum Valley questions
Do you deliver batteries to White Gum Valley?
Yes — White Gum Valley sits inside our Fremantle 5km free-delivery zone, so the battery is dropped and fitted at $0 delivery cost. It's 24.5km from the Kelvin Road counter — about 25 minutes via Roe Highway and South Street. Call 08 9451 4048 with your rego and we'll load the right one.
How much is a car battery in White Gum Valley?
It depends on the spec — a small sedan and a European AGM are a long way apart. Because we buy factory-direct there's no retail markup in the middle. Call 08 9451 4048 with your rego and you'll get a fixed number, not a range.
How do I get to your warehouse from White Gum Valley?
Unit 11/95-97 Kelvin Road, Maddington, WA 6109 — about 25 minutes from White Gum Valley, via Roe Highway and South Street, about 24.5km. Free customer parking on site. Walk in any time we're open, get the battery and the alternator tested free, and have it fitted while you wait.
Are you open after hours if I'm stuck in White Gum Valley?
Open 24/7 — every day of the year — call 08 9451 4048 day or night. If you're stranded in White Gum Valley we'll give you a straight ETA rather than a "sometime today", and we'll come to the car.
Do you cover all of the City of Fremantle?
Yes. White Gum Valley is one of the City of Fremantle suburbs we run to, and we deliver across the whole council area — residential, trade and fleet. If you're on the boundary and not sure, call 08 9451 4048 with the street and we'll tell you straight away whether you're inside a free-delivery zone.
What happens to my old battery?
We take it away and recycle it, free, whether we delivered to White Gum Valley or you walked into the warehouse. Lead-acid is close to fully recyclable and it should never go in a bin — if you've got an old one sitting in the shed, bring it in with you and we'll take that too.
