Everyday driving
The batteries that fail in Cannington, and why
Cannington is settled suburb driving — the school run, the shops, the trip to work and back. It sounds gentle on a battery and it is the opposite: a run of a few kilometres never puts back what starting the engine takes out, so the charge level creeps down over months until one cool morning the car won't turn over.
Most trips here run between home and Westfield Carousel, which is exactly the distance that never fully recharges a battery.
We test the battery and the alternator free before selling you anything — if it's charging fine and just needs a run, we'll tell you that.

Battery replacement in Cannington
Cannington is 7.7km straight up Albany Highway from us, and it's where a lot of the southern suburbs do their shopping. Westfield Carousel's carparks are one of the more common places in Perth to discover a flat battery — the car sits for two hours in summer heat, and a battery that was marginal on the way in won't crank on the way out.
There's also a run of dealerships and used yards along the highway here, which means plenty of late-model stop-start and AGM fitments on local roads. We carry those specs rather than ordering them, and Cannington is inside our Maddington free-delivery zone, so the battery arrives fitted at no delivery cost.
- FREE delivery inside our Maddington 5km zone
- Free battery and alternator testing, no obligation
- SuperCharge and Exide batteries in stock for common specs
- Your old battery is taken away and recycled at no charge
- Open 24/7, every day of the year

Cannington FAQ
Common Cannington questions
Do you deliver batteries to Cannington?
Yes — Cannington sits inside our Maddington 5km free-delivery zone, so the battery is dropped and fitted at $0 delivery cost. It's 7.7km from the Kelvin Road counter — about 11 minutes via Albany Highway and Kenwick Link. Call 08 9451 4048 with your rego and we'll load the right one.
How much is a car battery in Cannington?
It depends on the spec — a small sedan and a European AGM are a long way apart. Because we buy factory-direct there's no retail markup in the middle. Call 08 9451 4048 with your rego and you'll get a fixed number, not a range.
How do I get to your warehouse from Cannington?
Unit 11/95-97 Kelvin Road, Maddington, WA 6109 — about 11 minutes from Cannington, via Albany Highway and Kenwick Link, about 7.7km. Free customer parking on site. Walk in any time we're open, get the battery and the alternator tested free, and have it fitted while you wait.
Are you open after hours if I'm stuck in Cannington?
Open 24/7 — every day of the year — call 08 9451 4048 day or night. If you're stranded in Cannington we'll give you a straight ETA rather than a "sometime today", and we'll come to the car.
Do you cover all of the City of Canning?
Yes. Cannington is one of the City of Canning suburbs we run to, and we deliver across the whole council area — residential, trade and fleet. If you're on the boundary and not sure, call 08 9451 4048 with the street and we'll tell you straight away whether you're inside a free-delivery zone.
What happens to my old battery?
We take it away and recycle it, free, whether we delivered to Cannington or you walked into the warehouse. Lead-acid is close to fully recyclable and it should never go in a bin — if you've got an old one sitting in the shed, bring it in with you and we'll take that too.
