Everyday driving
The batteries that fail in Lynwood, and why
Lynwood is settled suburb driving — the school run, the shops, the trip to work and back. It sounds gentle on a battery and it is the opposite: a run of a few kilometres never puts back what starting the engine takes out, so the charge level creeps down over months until one cool morning the car won't turn over.
Most trips here run between home and Lynwood Village Shopping Centre, which is exactly the distance that never fully recharges a battery.
We test the battery and the alternator free before selling you anything — if it's charging fine and just needs a run, we'll tell you that.

Battery replacement in Lynwood
Lynwood is a compact residential suburb between Nicholson Road and Metcalfe Road, 9km from our counter and inside the Canning Vale free-delivery zone. Thirteen parks and one primary school inside the boundary tells you the shape of it: quiet streets, short trips.
Short trips are the problem. A run to Lynwood Village and back never replaces the charge that starting the engine took out, so the battery slowly loses ground over two or three years until a cool morning finishes it. We test the battery and the alternator free first — a good share of these turn out to be undercharged rather than dead.

Lynwood FAQ
Common Lynwood questions
Do you deliver batteries to Lynwood?
Yes — Lynwood sits inside our Canning Vale 5km free-delivery zone, so the battery is dropped and fitted at $0 delivery cost. It's 9km from the Kelvin Road counter — about 12 minutes via Albany Highway and Kenwick Link. Call 08 9451 4048 with your rego and we'll load the right one.
How much is a car battery in Lynwood?
It depends on the spec — a small sedan and a European AGM are a long way apart. Because we buy factory-direct there's no retail markup in the middle. Call 08 9451 4048 with your rego and you'll get a fixed number, not a range.
How do I get to your warehouse from Lynwood?
Unit 11/95-97 Kelvin Road, Maddington, WA 6109 — about 12 minutes from Lynwood, via Albany Highway and Kenwick Link, about 9km. Free customer parking on site. Walk in any time we're open, get the battery and the alternator tested free, and have it fitted while you wait.
Are you open after hours if I'm stuck in Lynwood?
Open 24/7 — every day of the year — call 08 9451 4048 day or night. If you're stranded in Lynwood we'll give you a straight ETA rather than a "sometime today", and we'll come to the car.
Do you cover all of the City of Canning?
Yes. Lynwood is one of the City of Canning suburbs we run to, and we deliver across the whole council area — residential, trade and fleet. If you're on the boundary and not sure, call 08 9451 4048 with the street and we'll tell you straight away whether you're inside a free-delivery zone.
What happens to my old battery?
We take it away and recycle it, free, whether we delivered to Lynwood or you walked into the warehouse. Lead-acid is close to fully recyclable and it should never go in a bin — if you've got an old one sitting in the shed, bring it in with you and we'll take that too.
