Everyday driving
The batteries that fail in Mount Pleasant, and why
Mount Pleasant is settled suburb driving — the school run, the shops, the trip to work and back. It sounds gentle on a battery and it is the opposite: a run of a few kilometres never puts back what starting the engine takes out, so the charge level creeps down over months until one cool morning the car won't turn over.
That short-trip pattern is most of the driving here.
We test the battery and the alternator free before selling you anything — if it's charging fine and just needs a run, we'll tell you that.

Battery replacement in Mount Pleasant
Mount Pleasant runs along the Canning River between the freeway and Canning Highway, with Deep Water Point and the Mount Henry Bridge on its edges. It's established, leafy and full of cars that do short local trips — plus a steady number of boats and tenders that launch from the reach.
For the cars, short-trip driving is what kills batteries here: a run of a few kilometres never puts back what starting took out. For anything on the water, a cranking battery asked to run electronics all day is finished inside a season — that job wants dual-purpose or a proper deep-cycle. We carry both and fit at the house or on the trailer.

Mount Pleasant FAQ
Common Mount Pleasant questions
Do you deliver batteries to Mount Pleasant?
Yes. Mount Pleasant is 19.4km from our Maddington warehouse — about 25 minutes via Roe Highway and High Road. There's a small delivery fee outside our three 5km free zones (Canning Vale, Maddington and Fremantle), or you can collect from the counter and pay the straight warehouse price. Call 08 9451 4048 for the exact figure.
How much is a car battery in Mount Pleasant?
It depends on the spec — a small sedan and a European AGM are a long way apart. Because we buy factory-direct there's no retail markup in the middle. Call 08 9451 4048 with your rego and you'll get a fixed number, not a range.
How do I get to your warehouse from Mount Pleasant?
Unit 11/95-97 Kelvin Road, Maddington, WA 6109 — about 25 minutes from Mount Pleasant, via Roe Highway and High Road, about 19.4km. Free customer parking on site. Walk in any time we're open, get the battery and the alternator tested free, and have it fitted while you wait.
Are you open after hours if I'm stuck in Mount Pleasant?
Open 24/7 — every day of the year — call 08 9451 4048 day or night. If you're stranded in Mount Pleasant we'll give you a straight ETA rather than a "sometime today", and we'll come to the car.
Do you cover all of the City of Melville?
Yes. Mount Pleasant is one of the City of Melville suburbs we run to, and we deliver across the whole council area — residential, trade and fleet. If you're on the boundary and not sure, call 08 9451 4048 with the street and we'll tell you straight away whether you're inside a free-delivery zone.
What happens to my old battery?
We take it away and recycle it, free, whether we delivered to Mount Pleasant or you walked into the warehouse. Lead-acid is close to fully recyclable and it should never go in a bin — if you've got an old one sitting in the shed, bring it in with you and we'll take that too.
